Seminarians, Priests, Religious Brothers and Sisters and lay faithful thronged at the Mount Carmel of Naga this March 17, 2018 as they welcomed the relic of St. Therese of the Child Jesus which is on its fourth pilgrimage in the Philippines this year.   The welcoming event was commenced with celebration of the Liturgy which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Felipe Culvera III, formator at the Holy Rosary Major Seminary. After the celebration, the lay faithful were allowed a few minutes to fall in line and touch the relic of the saint. At six in the evening, the seminarians and the lay people celebrated the Solemn Vespers for the Fifth Sunday of Lent, presided over by Rev. Fr. Xavier Amoroso, formator at the Holy Rosary Major Seminary. Before the end of the celebration, a representative of the national welcoming committee read a decree from the Vatican granting plenary indulgence to whoever participates in the Rites involving the relic of St. Therese, provided that they fulfill the conditions which include availing the Sacrament of Penance, attending the Eucharist and receiving the communion and praying for the intention of the Holy Father, Pope Francis.   After the Vespers, the people were again allowed to go to the relic for veneration and the Vigil followed which lasted until 11 in the evening, as schedule.       by: SEM.
