In response to the call of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines for a nationwide day of prayer for the healing of our land, the seminarians of the Holy Rosary Major Seminary joined the “Heal Our Land” prayer rally held last Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Naga City. The event started with a procession from the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral Quadricentennial Arch going to the Naga City Rizal Park.   Seminarians led the praying of the Holy Rosary going to Rizal Park. Representatives from various religions like Catholics, Muslims and other Christian sects offered prayers asking the Lord to grant healing for our land torn by war and killings. Although no Caceres priest was able to attend the rally because they were in Taytay, Rizal for their annual retreat, several of them sent letters containing prayers for healing.   The Seminary Rector, Rev. Fr. William M. Parde Jr. encourages seminarians to join this kind of social activities to inculcate in them the awareness of social issues and to know firsthand the sentiments of the people, the flock of God whom they will be shepherds of in the future.   by: SEM.
